Standards
Dear Yoga Teacher,

You are invited to become a International Registered Yoga School (IRYS) and/or International Registered Yoga Teacher (IRYT) in the Africa Yoga Federation's Yoga Creditation listing. The Creditation is not a certification program, rather it is a listing of yoga schools and yoga teachers whose training and experience meets certain minimum international standards as described below. The creditation listing differentiates two levels of training: a 200-hour level, and 500-hour level.

You can qualify in one of two ways:
* by having completed a yoga teacher training program at a school that is on the Credited list or;
* by documenting equivalent training through a school not on our Credited list.

Africa Yoga Federation, is making every effort to inform the public of the International Registry. We will also provide networking and support for all yoga teachers, registered or associated. We invite your participation in this process of aligning South Africa and the rest of Africa to the international minimum standards for yoga teachers.

Minimum Yoga Teacher Standards
Our minimum Yoga Teacher standards are in accordance with the International Yoga Federation (IYF), and similar international yoga bodies.

We give full acknowledgement, credit and gratitute to the karma Yogis and Yoginis for the development of the Yoga standards and concepts.
